Term 1: 1st day 6th September Last day 11th October

Please meet us on the grass for pick up and drop off, we will be there 5 minutes before pick up is due to give space for catching up with parents.

If you have a younger child please walk down with them following the track, older children can walk to the grass on their own at parents discretion.

Forest school is holistic child-led education focusing on all aspects of a child’s development (social, emotional, physical, intellectual, communication and spiritual) children will have the opportunity to explore nature, light and cook on fires, use tools in a variety of different ways, build dens, play games, connect with the seasons and nature. Children will be celebrated for their individual achievements working with them at their own pace as they take charge of their own learning.

The Fisheries which is about a ten minute drive from the Loch Arthur main site. It’s on the back road that leads from Loch Arthur to New Abbey and the postcode is: DG2 8DY. The turning is signed ‘Tannoch House’ which leads straight to the car park, then you walk down the path and can get to the grass area from the second entrance where we will be parked, disabled parking is available here for any parents that need it.

This session is drop-off meaning parents don’t stay with the group however sometimes parents come along for the first couple of sessions to settle their child in. This is completely optional we will let you decide if it is needed.
