Nature school is the perfect option for home-school or flexi-school families specifically aimed at children with additional needs or mental health issues (does not need a diagnosis)

Nature brings us an abundance of learning opportunities. In our nature school, we will be learning many outdoor skills and making the most of what the environment has to offer.

These sessions will be child-led and relaxed making it suitable for all ages and abilities.

Nature brings us an abundance of learning opportunities. In our nature school, we will be learning many outdoor skills and making the most of what the environment has to offer.

These sessions will be child-led and relaxed making it suitable for all ages and abilities.

Snack will be provided.

Children will receive a certificates for the skills they learned to acknowledge their achievements.

We will refund any events if cancelled upon request with a coupon to be used on other events and services we offer.

Directions to site:

The Wild Playground is next to Mabie forest kennels and cattery. Satnav takes you straight to the site following the postcode DG2 8NA (sometimes satnav has taken people to the florist if you end up here we are just across the road) . If you don’t have a satnav follow the road A711 from Dumfries and turn in when you see the sign for the kennels. Opposite the kennels, there is a white house follow the road in front of the house and park at the top where the portacabin is. We share the land with the nursery the nursery has the pods that you will see. if you turn in behind the house this will lead you to the nursery, if you turn in in front of the house this will lead you to the right place.

Parking is limited- please try to car share where possible or use public transport which also helps our planet.

You can get the 501 bus from Dumfries, stop the bus when you see the sign for Mabie forest kennels and cattery. Follow the path down and you will see the white house opposite the kennels and just follow the road up in front of the house.
